The short version: this site does not track you. The long version takes seven points.
This site does not track you
No tracking cookie, no analytics, no advertising pixel, no account to create. We do not know who comes, where from, or what they look at.
What your browser remembers
Two preferences: light or dark theme, and language. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and vanish if you clear the site's data.
The host's logs
Like every site, this one is served by machines that keep a technical log: IP address, page requested, date, browser. Amazon Web Services keep those for security and for the service to work. We do not read them to identify you.
If you write to us
An email or a call passes on what you put in it: your name, how to reach you, what you are asking. We use it to answer you and, for an order, to fulfil and invoice it. Nothing else, and never to send you advertising without your consent.
When you leave for elsewhere
Booking on OpenTable, ordering on Uber Eats or DoorDash, reading our Google reviews, following us on Instagram: from the click on, you are with them, and their rules apply. They do not necessarily look like ours.
Your rights
You may ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or withdraw your consent. Write to contact@umamia.ca: the management of Umamia inc. is responsible for the protection of personal information and will answer within thirty days.
For how long
Exchanges tied to an order are kept as long as needed to fulfil it and to meet our accounting obligations. Other emails are deleted once they serve no purpose.
